I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (via Yoga Alliance), specializing in Vinyasa flow, Hatha and Restorative yoga.
In the two years past, I instructed private and group classes in the La Jolla / San Diego, California. Last year, I relocated to the Olympic Peninsula with my husband where I am regularly teaching at All Points Movement Studio in Port Hadlock as well as at Prosper Bodyworks Yoga & Movement Room in Port Townsend. Also around town, I can be found subbing at Room to Move Yoga or offering a Feel Good. Do Good. benefit class at Madrona MindBody Institute.
I was first introduced to yoga while traveling in rural China when I happened upon an impromptu session of sun salutations led by a fellow, study-abroad student. Inspired by this initial experience, I began my yogic journey by practicing Purna yoga in Seattle. I then continued to learn by delving into the practices of Iyengar, Hatha and Vinyasa.
In April of 2016, I successfully completed my 200-hour, Vinyasa-based Yoga Teacher Training under the mentorship of Gerhard Gessner, E-RYT, founder of Prana Yoga Center. Shortly thereafter, I continued my yogic education by completing Prana’s Restorative Teacher Training, led by Shauna MacKay, 500-RYT.
My teaching style is mindful, gentle and alignment-based. I strive to make every person feel nurtured and appreciated. My hope is that my students will leave my class with a sense of calm, inner strength and renewed dedication to their own journey.
Off the mat, I can be found at the beach, or, on a hike with my husband, planning our next camping trip, or baking something delicious in the kitchen.
